MORE than 30 people attended a spring networking event organised by Barclays and Keighley law firm AWB Charlesworth.

Chris Robinson, of Maven Training, gave a short taster of a presentation on resilience and leadership.

And Barclays' Chris Winn spoke about EagleLabs Leeds, an innovative scheme designed to support growing businesses through finance, flexible workspace and events.

Teams from the bank and AWB Charlesworth were available to chat to guests on a range of personal and business finance and legal issues.

Refreshments were served at the event, at Shipley Golf Club.

Mike Gorman, a business development manager with Barclays, thanked everyone who attended and supported the evening.

"It was an opportunity to connect with the community and demonstrate our commitment to help businesses achieve their ambitions," he added.

Felicity Green, a director at AWB Charlesworth and co-organiser of the event, said: "Our firm already provides services to – and obtains services from – many local businesses and our hope in running these events is to connect-up more professionals who can support and resource one another, strengthening the Aire Valley business community further."
