ELEPHANTS are under starter’s orders for a fundraiser in aid of Manorlands.
An elephant race night is being held at the Applegarth Club, in Riddlesden, on Saturday, June 16, starting at 7.30pm.
There will be at least six races to watch and bet on, plus musical entertainment and a raffle.
The event is being organised by the Manorlands Riddlesden and East Morton support group, and all proceeds will go to the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
Non-club-members are welcome, but the event is for adults only.
Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood pays tribute to the organisers and urges people to give their support.
“The hospice relies on events like this run by our support groups and we are very grateful for all the funds they bring in,” he said.
“This will be a great night of entertainment so please support it if you can.”
