SOUTH Craven shoppers are being asked to help Glusburn Community Primary School create a new library.
The Co-op store in Cross Hills has chosen the school to benefit from fundraising through its its Local Community Fund.
Head Richard Hunt said Co-op customers could play an active role in raising money to buy books and furniture for the school's new library area.
He said: "At a time when funds for schools are becoming more difficult to access, we’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to make a real difference in our school.
"When a Co-op member buys selected products or services from the Co-op they earn a five per cent reward for themselves, with a further one per cent for local causes like ours.
"The Co-op is looking to support organisations that make a difference in their local communities by protecting and improving community spaces, helping people reach their full potential by developing their skills, or promoting health and wellbeing.
"When a community comes together we’re able to achieve great things, so we hope you can help promote our project."
Co-op members can choose of the local causes for future months by visiting coop.co.uk/membership come and join the Co-op at their local store online at coop.co.uk.
