A RETIRED music teacher appeared at Bradford Crown Court today charged with historic sex offences against a young boy.
David Hope, 72, of Granby Close, Headingley, Leeds, pleaded not guilty to three allegations of buggery with a boy under 16, three allegations of indecent assault and a count of indecency with a child, all between 1983 and 1984.
Hope, who taught at the former Malsis School, near Glusburn, had his bail extended until his trial date on September 14.
The court heard that the trial would last about a week.
