A HOUSING association is urging Keighley people to get involved in a new volunteer scheme.
The Xperience Volunteering Project (XVP), which will initially run on a six-month trial basis, aims to attract 20 people to fill voluntary roles with employers across the district.
Behind the initiative is Manningham Housing Association.
It is offering a post itself and is appealing for other businesses, public sector bodies and voluntary organisations to get involved.
Nas Hussain, the association’s community partnerships and investment manager, said: “The volunteers are able to develop their workplace skills, broaden their social network and make a positive contribution to community wellbeing. Meanwhile, employers gain new, highly-motivated staff who want to do well.”
Potential volunteers and employers interested in taking part should contact Mr Hussain on 01274 377254 or Nasir.Hussain@manninghamha.co.uk.
