SILSDEN Proms on the Farm – scheduled to be held this summer – has been cancelled.
The event was set to make a return in July after a three-year absence, with a new organising team and venue – Jackson’s Field.
But the coronavirus pandemic has forced organisers to ditch this year’s plans.
“It was disappointing to have to make the decision as the return of the event had been widely welcomed and several sponsors had already committed to give their support,” said Silsden Proms Group chairman, William Jowitt.
“We anticipated strong demand for tickets, judging by the response we had when we announced the event was to return this year.”
But he said a date was already in the diary for 2021 – July 17. “The team’s efforts will now be directed to making that a success,” added Mr Jowitt.
