AN anti-vaccination leaflet sent to some Keighley households has been condemned.
The flier, which is mainly targeted at members of the town’s Muslim community, describes the Covid vaccine as “poison” and “satanic”.
One disgusted reader, who received a copy through her letterbox, said: “It’s complete scaremongering rubbish.”
There’s no indication on the leaflet who has published it.
Keighley MP Robbie Moore described the flier as “disgraceful”.
“They are trying to scare certain sections of our community into not taking the vaccine with outright lies,” he said. “The vaccine has been proven to cut the rate of infection, has dramatically reduced the death rate and has brought hospital admissions down to levels not seen since the summer.”
He added that he’d brought the leaflet to the attention of Bradford Council, the police and Modality Partnership – which has helped run hugely-successful vaccination clinics at Keighley Central Mosque – to see if a combined effort can be made to counteract “this misinformation”.
