SECOND-PLACED Oxenhope bounced back from the disappointing defeat against Queensbury to claim a comprehensive 88-run win over Division One promotion rivals Great Horton Park Chapel to go 23 points clear of them and stay 20 ahead of third-placed Bridgeholme with four games remaining.

Contributions from Craig Bartlett (89), Jack Barker (42) and Joe Ousey (51no) meant that a useful total of 261 had been set for the home team to chase. This became even more challenging when Great Horton were reduced to 24-3 and a steady fall of wickets saw the hosts all out for 173, with Scott Mallinson claiming 3-52 and Nathan Storton 2-45.

Denholme Clough remain top of Division Two after an impressive bowling display at Outlane. Mohammed Zhabair Yousaf made 53 as Clough struggled to 161 all out but the total proved more than enough as Israh Akram (5-25) and Waqas Ali (4-43) ripped through the Outlane batting to dismiss them for 75.

Cullingworth (263-3) remain in second place after a comfortable win at Luddendenfoot (141).

A high-scoring encounter saw Oxenhope II claim an impressive eight-wicket win at home to Stones.

Electing to field first, their young bowlers found the going hard as Stones scored 102 in the first 15 overs. However, they showed spirit to restrict the visitors to 270, the mainstay of Stones' batting being David Mobbs with an excellent 123. Will Hopper could consider himself very unlucky to claim just 1-52 from his ten overs.

In response, Oxenhope openers put on 86 as Brendan Ellison (51) claimed another half-century before young Eddie Jackson joined Nicky Holbrook and they made 142 for the second wicket before the latter was caught on the boundary for 78.

Tom Tetley came to the crease and, after sending his first ball over the trees for six, saw the hosts home with eight wickets to spare, Jackson ending on 91 not out in a tremendous effort.

Aamir Riaz starred for Denholme Clough II, making 125no in their 219-8 and taking 3-5 as Bradshaw II were bowled out for 111.

Cullingworth II (123 all out) lost by six wickets at home to Outlane II.
