SILSDEN Whitestar have made it a nap hand of victories in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division.

They beat visitors Rolls – one of three teams to finish above them last season – 4-2, but the match was in the balance at half-time.

Oliver Hunter's brace had given Rolls hope at 2-2, but Whitestar pulled away to make it five wins out of five, courtesy of goals by man of the match Sam Stanfield (3), including his 100th for the club, and Joshua Metcalfe.

There was little joy elsewhere, however, for the Keighley area's top-flight teams, with Sporting Keighley going down 11-1 at second-placed Grassington United, and Cowling losing 4-2 at Trawden Celtic, despite the efforts of Stephen Barker and the goals of Luke Barker and Craig Gregory.

Cross Hills were beaten 4-2 at home by Pendle Renegades, Joel Birks and Mark Hoban being on target for the south Craveners, whose man of the match was Lee Thompson.

In Division One, nine of the ten goals between AFC Colne and Cononley Sports were scored in the first half.

Sports trailed 5-4 at the interval, but they got the only goal of the second half to gain a draw.

On the mark for visitors Sports were Craig Ebbrell (2), Colin Throupe (2) and Josh Gibson.

Bradley were 1-1 at half-time but conceded both goals in the second half to Settle United Reserves.

James Robinson netted for Bradley, whose man of the match was Chris Hogg.

In Division Three, Sutton led visitors Settle United Thirds 4-1 at half-time, only to lose 5-4.

Will Bestwick (2), John Crummack and Chris Vollentine were Sutton's marksmen, and Jamie Wilson shared the man of the match awards with Bestwick.

Cowling edged past Broomhill Reserves 3-2, with man of the match Jack Diamond (2) and Thabani Songo netting for Cowling, and Tyler Brigg and substitute Aaron Dickson replying for the second string, whose man of the match was Joshua Bingham.
