LONG LEE Karate Club members impressed at the SKU Open in Sheffield, picking up several medals.
Paige McLoughlin gained silver in the girl eight and nine years red to orange belt fighting, while Ibraheem Din won bronze in the boys ten to 12 years red to orange belt fighting. Kaif Hussain also claimed silver in the boys eight to nine years fighting red to orange belt.
Instructor Pam Freeman was pleased with the way the youngsters performed.
Long Lee is part of the Bismillah Karate Centre, who had members from other bases across the district who also picked up medals.
Sajid Khan gained bronze in the men's junior kata; Bilal Kamran won bronze in the boys 13 to 15 years kata and gold in the boys fighting; Tony Senior bagged bronze in the men's kata and silver in the men's fighting 18 years plus; and Sami Khan won bronze in the boys fighting seven to nine years up to purple belt.
