SPORTING Keighley beat Rolls 3-2 in a thriller last week, but they suffered a nasty dose of revenge after losing 8-0 away to the same opponents on Saturday in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven & District Premier Division.

Liam Garbutt hit five goals for the home side as they romped to an extraordinary victory. The heavy defeat saw Keighley overtaken by Rolls and they now sit in seventh place.

Silsden Whitestar had a fine week in knockout competitions as they won two vital fixtures. They reached the semi-final of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy after Joshua Metcalfe scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Settle United.

They also advanced to the final of the Premier Division Cup after beating Pendle Renegades 3-1. Scott Hanson, Andy Kay and Sam Stanfield scored the goals which mean that they will take on Trawden Celtic in the final on May 9.

Cowling suffered heartbreak in the last four of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy after a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Skipton Town. Miles Thompson hit the away side's first-half winner.

Broomhill consolidated fourth place in Division One with two league victories in a week. Bradley Holland scored twice as they scraped past Cononley Sports 3-2 away from home.

That win was followed by a 4-2 home victory over Hellifield Sports. Substitute Bradley Coles plundered a brace to ensure another three points came heading their way.

Cowling Reserves inched one point clear at the top of Division Three after a hard fought 2-2 draw with Cross Hills Reserves. Seth Wiseman's double for Cowling was matched by one for Cross Hills' Billy Skelton.

Finally, Broomhill Reserves secured an impressive 5-3 away win at high-flying Salts Reserves. Tyler Brigg scored a hat-trick as the visitors secured their ninth win of the season.
