LAST season's Bradford Sunday Alliance Championship winners Crossflatts Village took a huge step towards clinching this year's Premiership title after a hard-fought 2-1 win over defending Premiership champions Olympic FC.
The home side won thanks to second half goals from the evergreen Michael Garnett and a deflected strike from winger Colin Schofield.
Kevin Gill's side are now six points clear at the top of the league with only two games to go, and they also have a superior goal difference over second-placed Westwood Park.
Crossflatts travel to Station Hotel on Sunday knowing that a point will be enough to see them crowned as champions.
Village midfielder Connor Erangey was awarded the man-of-the-match prize after an impressive display in the Village engine room.
