KEIGHLEY Phoenix Badminton Club are rising in both the Craven and Bradford leagues.
After many seasons competing in the Craven League's First and Second Divisions, Keighley Phoenix have, at last, won the Division One title, the first time they have ever managed this achievement.
In the Bradford League they have gained back-to-back promotions over the last two seasons, moving them up from Division Four to Division Three followed, this season, with promotion from Division Three to Division Two, yet another well-earned first for the club.
Their promotion into Bradford League Division Two was extremely tight and relied on a result between two other Division Three teams right at the end of the season.
They needed the weaker of those two teams to secure a single point against the stronger team which they just about managed with an 8-1 result.
Despite, or perhaps because of, all their recent success, Keighley Phoenix continues to look for new players of all abilities from 12 upwards. Contact on Facebook at Keighley Phoenix Badminton Club or go to keighleybadminton.net
