TWO ties in particular stand out following the draw for the 2020 Wynn Cup, the Craven League's blue-riband knockout competition, which was carried out this week at Sutton Cricket Club.

In one of three first round ties that are to be played on May 10, Haworth Road Meths - runners-up in 2018 and semi-finalists in 2017 - will be at home to Oakworth, who reached the last four in 2019 but also the quarter-finals in both years before that.

Meanwhile, in the second round, to be played on June 7, Bingley Congs, finalists last year, will host Barrowford, winners in 2017 and semi-finalists in 2018.

Holders Crossflatts will be in first-round action at Silsden, who were the winners of Division Three last season.

In the Cowling Cup, there is a tasty first-round tie, which will take place on May 17, between Oakworth II, semi-finalists in 2018, and Haworth Road Meths II, winners in 2017 and quarter-finalists the following year.

Holders Bradley will play host to Hepworth and Idle II, who reached the last eight in both 2018 and 2019.

Cowling Cup - First round: Embsay II v Airedale II, Oakworth II v Haworth Road Meths II, Wilsden II v Bingley Congs II, Barrowford II v Skipton CI II, Gargrave II v Skipton CI, Ingrow II v Long Lee II, Bradley v Hepworth and Idle II. Matches to be played on Sunday, May 17.

Finally, a total of 11 teams have entered the Manorlands Plate - the Craven League's Twenty20 competition.

The entry fee of £10 per club will go to the Oxenhope-based hospice.
