CAMPION added Silsden to their list of scalps in the West Riding County Cup this season, romping to a 3-0 midweek home win.

The Red and Blacks beat National League North side Bradford (Park Avenue) 2-1 in the first round, and they started as underdogs here too, with the Cobbydalers one tier above them in the non-league pyramid.

The game looked certain to be locked at 0-0 going into the break, but crucially, Patrick Sykes netted the opener for Campion in the second minute of first-half stoppage time.

It was still only 1-0 after an hour, but then Daniel Keane scored twice in the space of seven minutes to wrap up a comfortable victory for the hosts.

They will entertain the winners of the tie between Farsley Celtic and Garforth Town at Scotchman Road in the quarter-finals.

In the NCEL Premier Division, it was a disastrous midweek for Eccleshill United.

The second-placed side had not lost in the league since September 4, but they were hammered 4-0 at Winterton Rangers last night.

Traffic trouble for the visitors meant the game did not kick-off until 8:30pm, but with the game still level at the break, it was all to play for in the second half.

But Winterton destroyed their opponents after the interval, with Paul Grimes, Josh Walker, Luke Anderson and Ryan Thompson all on target, as they moved up to eighth in the table.

Third-bottom Albion Sports continue to struggle this season, and they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at high-flying Handsworth.

Leon Howarth put the hosts in front after only eight minutes, before Sam Smith headed home their second from a free-kick just before the hour mark.
