JAMAAL Rehman was denied a place in the National Junior Championship quarter-finals, after defeat in Rotherham last weekend.
The teenage Keighley boxer ended January by winning his second Yorkshire title, beating a more experienced opponent from the county by split decision.
That bout was in Rotherham, as was the one last weekend, where Rehman, who boxes out of Keighley ABC, was taking on the North West Counties champion.
Sadly, the youngster lost by split decision on this occasion.
One of the coaches at Keighley ABC, George Metcalf, said: "Jamaal boxed very well.
"The experience he had in getting to the championships was a great honour to achieve, after only eight contests."
