GABRIEL Medd was City of Bradford Swimming Club’s only representative in the first round of the Aquasphere Epic Lakes Swims in the stunning surroundings at Ullswater.
Over the 3.8 km event he finished second overall from 155 entries and was the second male to finish in time of 55 minutes 43 seconds.
In the one mile event, he claimed eighth place overall and fifth male from 213 entries in the time of 21minutes 47 seconds.
Rounding off an excellent weekend’s swimming, he competed in the shorter 500m event finishing in sixth position overall and third male from 89 entries in a time of six minutes and six seconds.
All swimmers train on the Bradford Aquatics Competition programme under the guidance of coaches Andy Pearce and Sarah Fisher.
