SILSDEN remain firmly in the promotion hunt in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, despite their wait for a home game continuing.
Remarkably, the Cobbydalers have not played on home soil since November 12, a 5-1 win over Maltby Main, with postponements meaning their last six league games have all been on the road.
They were due to host promotion play-off rivals Winterton Rangers on the first Saturday in January, but that game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Their chances of ending the season with a coveted top-two finish were damaged by a 1-0 defeat at Knaresborough Town the following weekend, but they had a chance to hit back in another game against a promotion rival on Saturday, having been scheduled to host Barton Town.
But like the majority of the games in that division on Saturday, the encounter was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The Cobbydalers' next league game is at runaway leaders North Ferriby this coming Saturday, while they are scheduled to host Bradford District rivals Thackley the following weekend.
