Steeton rounded off their pre-season in style with a 5-2 win at Squires Gate over the weekend, and now know their full fixture list for the 2023/24 North West Counties Football League First Division North season.

They open up at Atherton LR this Saturday, while their season ends on the road at Nelson on April 13.

And with Bradford side Route One Rovers having joined the semi-professional ranks, after moving up from the Yorkshire Amateur League, the Chevrons face a couple of tasty derbies on big dates.

The pair clash in Bradford on Boxing Day, while Steeton welcome Route One to Marley on Easter Monday.

Roy Mason’s side also know that their Edward Case First Division Challenge Cup tie away at Holker Old Boys will take place on Tuesday, October 10.

Their Macron Sports first round tie at Route One will take place the following week.

The game against Squires was a good warm up for competitive action, and proved to be a good day for some new boys.

Young Josh Coe was on target, having just made his loan switch from Bradford (Park Avenue) permanent, while winger Emmanuel Amole hit the net twice following his move from Thackley.
