OXENHOPE have secured Halifax League Premier Division safety after a 32-run win over Luddendenfoot.

Ben Howell top scored with a run-a-ball 38, but the Keighley District side could only make 158 all out.

Fortunately, Oxenhope’s opening bowlers Joel Fothergill (5-65) and Daniel Scott (4-41) came to the fore, and they ran through the Luddendenfoot batting line-up dismissing their opponents for 126.

Cullingworth can no longer get promoted from the Second Division, but they enjoyed a satisfying 111-run win over leaders Augustinians in their penultimate game.

Bilal Khalid crashed 115 not out off just 67 balls as Cullingworth posted 279-8, with Augustinians dismissed for 168 as Dave Robinson and Elliot Robinson took four wickets apiece.

Another brilliant hundred, this time from Oakworth’s Jake Keslinke (126no), helped the hosts to 207-8 against Outlane, with Tom Fothergill’s 7-53 reducing the visitors to rubble on 146 all out.

Steeton go into the final day of the Aire-Wharfe League Division Two season four points clear of Ilkley in the final promotion spot.

Luke Chapman (96) and Stephen Pearson (66) were the star men with the bat as the Summerhill Laners racked up 260-7 at Bardsey.

The hosts were then hurt with the ball by Pearson, as he and Paul Quinlan took four wickets each to ensure a Steeton win by 38 runs.

Harden are almost up, but require three points to guarantee promotion on the final day of the Division Three season after losing by 61 runs to Collingham & Linton’s seconds.

Collingham scored 254-6 and Harden, despite the best efforts of Jacob Hudson (61) and keeper William Grace (48), could only make 193 all out in reply.
