KEIGHLEY Cougars have issued an injury update ahead of their huge Betfred League 1 clash at home to leaders Oldham on Sunday.

Oldham are level on points with Cougars, but have played a game less, and with only the side finishing top getting automatic promotion into the 2025 Betfred Championship, winning the title is the primary aim for both clubs this season.

Keighley are likely to have to try and beat the Roughyeds missing some key names however, including experienced centres Junior Nuu and Junior Sa’u, who are awaiting assessment and diagnoses after both suffering knee injuries.

A third centre is also a doubt for the game against Oldham, with Adam Ryder having been carried off after suffering a deep laceration to his leg last time out in the win at North Wales Crusaders.

Australian hooker Alex Bishop will definitely be absent this weekend, though he has returned to training following a thyroid cartilage fracture.

He is not expected to play again until Keighley’s visit to Cornwall on Sunday, June 23.
