Keighley Albion 44 West Bowling A 14

Albion strolled to another victory over the Bradford side despite giving them a six-point lead in only the second minute.

A missed tackle let in hooker Danny Loxham for a try at the posts and centre Ash Wood converted.

However, once the hosts got moving they soon equalised on eight minutes with a try and goal from Kris Gott after a neat pass from Steve Cullen.

Tries then followed at regular intervals up to the break with Chris Spencer, Gott again, Alex Young and Simon Marsden all crossing. Gott added four goals for an interval scoreline of 28-6.

Albion went further ahead after half-time when Gott completed his hat-trick. He also converted his try and added the extras to Garry Boocock’s touchdown after 65 minutes.

Bowling then scored two tries through full back Callum Willcox and Loxham before Chris Atkins rounded things off with Albion’s final score to complete a comprehensive win.

The triumph took them to joint second in the table with Wibsey Warriors, three points behind leaders Clayton.

Albion have no game this week but should be back in action on November 27.

Keighley Town A drew 12-12 with St Joseph’s A in Division Six, while Cowling Harle-quins’ game at home to Emley Moor A was postponed.
