Wyke A 54 Cowling Harlequins 12
This was a bad day at the office for the Quins, who travelled to south Bradford with a full squad in confident mood.
However, a late arrival left them with no time to warm up and they made a slow start.
Wyke took full advantage, running in a number of tries as their hooker dictated things.
In the 30th minute, Cowling finally clicked into gear, with Craig Nicholson producing some great work. He chipped the ball over the Wyke line and collected his own kick before touching down, Daz Greenwood kicking the conversion.
The second half started a lot like the first, with Cowling's line not moving up and getting punished by the referee in the penalty count.
Wyke took full advantage and raced in to score, though Greenwood tackled Wyke's prop to race 20 metres and hit back with a try for Cowling.
Greenwood converted his try but the Bradford side took the two points.
Quins look to bounce back at home to neighbours Silsden on Saturday.
